Odor Molecule — Glossary
A single volatile compound — pet odor is a mixture of many of them released by different residues.
Each odor note is a molecule: ammonia from urine, fatty acids from skin oils, microbial compounds from moisture. Pet odor isn’t one molecule — it’s a mixture, which is why one product rarely addresses all of it.
Reducing the odor means reducing the residues releasing the molecules.
