Formulation
ActiveEnzyme Formula
ActiveEnzyme Formula is the enzyme-based formulation used in the PawFresh NanoMist Fogger — designed to act on the organic residues that carry household pet odor.
What is ActiveEnzyme?
ActiveEnzyme Formula is the proprietary enzyme-based formulation used in the PawFresh NanoMist Fogger. It is designed to act on the organic residues — urine traces, oils, and moisture — that carry household pet odor, rather than simply adding a fragrance on top of them.
How enzyme-based formulations work (general science)
Enzymatic cleaning works by using enzymes to help break down specific organic compounds. In the pet-odor category, the residues most associated with lingering smell are protein- and uric-acid-based — the kinds of deposits that remain in carpet, upholstery, and fabric after an accident. Enzyme systems are designed to help break down that residue rather than mask it.
This is general cleaning science — true of the enzymatic category, not specific to PawFresh. For what we can document about the ActiveEnzyme formulation itself, see the evidence library.
Why a fogger format?
A trigger spray concentrates product on one spot. A fogger releases a fine, even mist across a room — which is intended to reach odor sources on surfaces and in ambient air more consistently. That pairing — fogger format plus enzyme-based formula — is the basis of the NanoMist approach.
