Hydrogen Peroxide — Glossary
A moderate oxidizer that destroys odor compounds on contact — useful on surface odor, risky on dyes.
Hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) oxidizes odor molecules — chemically demolishing them into non-odorous compounds. At household strength (3%) it is the gentler oxidizer, breaking down to water and oxygen.
It works on the odor it can touch — surface compounds and skunk spray — but cannot reach deep reservoirs, and it can lighten dyes. Test on hidden areas first.
