Odor Masking — Glossary
Covering a smell with a stronger fragrance — a temporary approach that leaves the odor source untouched.
Masking works by dominance: a stronger scent covers the odor so you smell the fragrance instead. The residue producing the odor is untouched — when the fragrance fades, the smell returns.
It’s a legitimate quick lift for a space that’s already clean, but it’s not odor removal.
