Humidity — Glossary
Airborne moisture — it reactivates dormant odor compounds trapped in surfaces, making the smell stronger.
Humidity is pet odor’s amplifier. Odor compounds bound in a dry surface release again when moisture arrives — which is why a treated spot can smell fine on a dry day and flare up on a humid one.
Managing humidity helps (ventilation, dehumidifier), but the durable fix is removing the residue that keeps reactivating.
