Air Circulation — Glossary
The movement of air through a space — the factor that disperses or concentrates released odor compounds.
Air circulation determines whether released odor compounds dissipate or build up. A ventilated room keeps the airborne concentration low; a closed room lets the compounds accumulate until the smell reads strongly.
This is why a closed closet or a small bathroom smells worse than the same materials in an open room — same residue, less air.
