Dander — Glossary
The microscopic skin flakes pets shed — a carrier of both odor and allergens.
Dander is the fine skin debris pets shed continuously. It carries the animal’s characteristic scent and is a common allergen. It settles into carpet, upholstery, and bedding — the same reservoirs that hold odor.
Regular grooming reduces dander at the source; vacuuming and washing manage it on surfaces.
