The gradual build-up of odor-causing residue on household surfaces over time.
Odor accumulation is why a pet home can smell worse over months even without any single dramatic event. Every day a pet deposits a little more — oils where it sleeps, dander where it walks, tracked residue across the floor. Individually small, together they add up to a reservoir that keeps releasing odor.
This is why odor management is a routine, not an event. The residue builds continuously, so the cleaning has to be continuous too.
