Odor Reservoir — Glossary
Any material holding accumulated odor compounds — a deposit that keeps emitting smell over time.
An odor reservoir is a storage deposit — carpet padding holding urine, fabric holding oils, foam holding dander. The reservoir emits continuously: it is a source that keeps producing airborne odor from stored material.
Odor problems are reservoir problems — the smell persists because the reservoir persists. Treatment means emptying it.
